Journalism: July 24 - July 28
Do you love writing? Have you ever wanted to publish articles online, or have something you wrote go viral? In this camp for budding writers, you’ll work on all of the above, as you learn how to be a junior journalist. You’ll interview your friends, learn how to write really well, and craft weekly articles about events at camp. At the end of the week, you and your friends will team up to write a real article that might be published in a local newspaper.
 
Camp News Club: July 31 - August 4
Have you ever wanted to be a reporter? To keep people informed on the important happenings in your community? Well this is your chance! In this camp, we’ll explore the ins and outs of both broadcast and print journalism. First, we’ll create a camp newspaper, where we take on roles as editors and article writers to bring a high quality publication to our fellow campers. Then, we’ll create a video log of short, journalistic videos explaining what’s going on at camp. Along the way, we’ll learn things like storyboarding, simple video editing, and interviewing!
